\n At the age of six I took my first piano steps \u2014 so fanatical that after school I would immediately crawl behind the keys, backpack still on. Since then I have never stopped. What started as classical became jazz, blues, pop and everything in between. Today I play for your guests, with the same enthusiasm as back then.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

Early beginnings<\/div>\n

Six years old, and already hooked<\/h3>\n

\n I started with classical, later learned jazz, blues and pop \u2014 mostly self-taught. In total I've had about three years of lessons, but the rest I taught myself by simply playing and listening a lot. That independent approach has given me a broad and personal sound.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

Walking into the hotel<\/h3>\n

\n One day I walked past a hotel restaurant with a piano. I thought: I can play here.<\/strong> Neatly dressed, went inside, and immediately sat down at the table with the owner. He gave me a chance \u2014 and soon I was playing weekly as a lounge pianist for his guests. That contract ran for years, until corona put an end to it.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

2022 \u2013 present<\/div>\n

Pianist and singer<\/h3>\n

\n The step towards singing behind the piano changed everything. Recognizable Top 2000 songs that people can sing along to make an evening completely different from instrumental background music. I noticed it immediately: guests came closer, responded more, enjoyed more. That is now the core of what I do.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

Bands<\/div>\n

More than solo<\/h3>\n

\n Next to solo performances I played in a couple of bands. Amy’s Legacy<\/strong> (Amy Winehouse coverband) and Felicia & the Jazz XP<\/strong>. Those experiences tought me a lot about how I play solo. I fill the space, adapt, joke around and listen to the moment.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n \n\n

Is your song not listed? Give it a few weeks and I\u2019ll learn it. Picking up new songs quickly is one of my strongest skills.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n
